Since I love taking pictures, I was trying to think of an inexpensive yet fun way to make a photo backdrop for my youngest daughter's 3rd birthday with a Rainbow Dash birthday party theme. I went to Dollar Tree and got plastic table covers in every hue of the rainbow and a pack of 15 white balloons to make into "clouds."
Just open each table cover and tape up the ends to the wall, then tie the balloons on string and hang them up. Super simple to do, cost less than $7 and took only 10 minutes to put together, plus the time spent blowing up the balloons. It made my daughter so happy to have a special place to open her gifts and play with them.
Here is my big birthday girl with all her presents!
My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Dress
She even had to try on the 2-Piece Tropical Toucan Tank & Twill Short Set in size 4T from Carter's (as shown above).
She also got this really cool assemble-it-yourself excavator toy from WisToyz that she had to build and screw together. She immediately took outside to start digging. What kid doesn't want a toy excavator?
Then it was time to wash up and have cupcakes!
Since one of my children has gluten allergies, we always opt for gluten-free foods. I used the Betty Crocker Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix in Rainbow Dash Cupcake Wrappers with homemade butter cream frosting, topped with dye-free, gluten-free Rainbow Starfetti Sprinkles by Supernatural.
All 3 of my girls did a cool design your own My Little Pony craft shared by Doodlecraft using RoseArt SuperTip Washable Markers and My Little Pony Stickers. They really enjoyed this activity where they could make up their own ponies using their favorite colors!
We all had such a great time! Thanks for stopping by and checking out our Rainbow Dash Birthday Party!
