For the past 7+ years, my three youngest children have been snuggled up safely with me in a soft-structured carrier or sling until they were too big to carry... I am still babywearing my 19 month old everywhere!  Her siblings have wanted to feel that snuggly warm feeling that babywearing offers.  This is where the Comfy Joey Toy Sling comes literally into play.  It is a mini replica of an adult ring sling, and provides your little one the opportunity to explore, pretend, imitate and practice the attachment development aspect of responsive care-giving.

Comfy Joey sent me one of their Toy Ring Slings in exchange for a review.  My girls love this toy and I will be sharing all my thoughts about it, but first, let me give you a little bit of a back story about the Comfy Joey company.
"Comfy Joey was founded in 2005 by company owner and Mom of four, Ayesha Ghatala-Shoaib. After the birth of her second child, Ayesha discovered that she needed a better way to carry her baby, whom she fondly referred to as her Joey, and the company was born."
All Comfy Joey Slings are handmade in the USA in Boise Idaho by Master Seamstress Jessica, and feature the CJ-Hybrid Shoulder for optimal comfort and freedom of movement- with no bulk.  The Comfy Joey Toy Sling is a minature version of the classic Comfy Joey Linen Sling, which has 5 sizes available- Small to 2X-Large. The measurements of a Comfy Joey Toy Sling are 54½ long x 16 inches wide.  The Toy Sling also has a set of 2 small aluminum rings that are 2 inch inner diameter & 2.375 inch outer diameter.
The first thing I noticed about this product was the exceptional, high-quality Irish linen fabric.  The linen is 100% derived from the flax plant, which is grown organically.  This is a pure blend- there are no additional/synthetic fibers used.  The color is so rich and vibrant, the shade here used in this review is called Amsterdam and is a purple wine tone.
The threads are matched precisely to the shade of the sling and the craftmanship is incredible! It is recommended to wash first to help the fibers loosen. It is machine washable in cold on gentle/hand wash cycle with a mild detergent. Do not use chlorine bleach or fabric softener. Line Dry and use linen setting on iron with steam, as needed.
You need to help your child thread the rail into the sling rings to adjust the fit. Caregiver supervision is recommended. The Toy Ring Slings are only to be used with dolls and stuffed animals. Do not use with real babies or pets.
My oldest daughter- who is 7- was the most excited to give the sling a try.  You often will find her caring for her dolls, so this was the perfect gig for her! As soon as she put on the sling, she was shushing, walking all about, gently bouncing and joyfully carrying her doll around.  Here's a short video showing her modeling the Comfy Joey Toy Sling!
My 4 year old also wanted to carry her doll around after seeing her sister do it.  She loved getting to hold and snuggle her dolly more closely!
As you can see in my photos, the Comfy Joey Toy Sling fits both my daughters quite well and they both adore this new addition to our babywearing collection!  My oldest daughter insists to wear her baby doll now every place we go, and everybody we come across thinks it's the cutest thing they've ever seen.  And so do I!  It is truly a delight that my daughters can experience babywearing at an early age and I really am impressed by the Comfy Joey Toy Sling.  I think every little one would take pleasure in having their own baby carrier like this.  It's a great way to boost creativity, teaches new life scenarios and benefits social/cognitive skills!
What's my favorite thing about the Comfy Joey Toy Sling?
Everything!  It's super easy to slide right on and adjust.  I love seeing my children find a new way to be imaginative and they are nothing but smiles when they are wearing their dolls.
Is there anything I'd change?
Nothing.  We love this
I give the Comfy Joey Toy Sling a 10/10!
