This blog has partnered with Mom Buzz Media to announce this exciting information!
Kids Academy Releases Preschool Education Center for iOS and Android!
I was given the opportunity to review the Kids Academy Preschool app from #MomBuzz with my two girls, ages 2 and 5. I love educational apps that actually give my kids an opportunity to learn new skills, especially writing and math. This free application offers quite a bit. There are paid options available to give you even more educational opportunities with the app. Below is some information provided by the sponsor.
The Preschool Education Center is an all-in-one educational app created for children and toddlers by the team at Kids Academy! With already over 10 million downloads worldwide, they have just released a long-awaited update to this amazing app! The app is designed to cover all aspects of early childhood education. Children learn about the alphabet, reading, writing, building vocabulary and even developing math skills. Based on the proven Montessori method, the Preschool Education Center app offers a number of fun games that help master essential learning skills through play, making learning fun!
Now, I want to share a little about what it was like for me downloading and using this app. First of all, you need to expect to have ample space to install it. I couldn't do it on my main phone because I use and run many apps that take up the majority of my storage space. I have a back-up device (Samsung Galaxy S3) that the kids take over most of the time anyways, so I installed on there without difficulty. The app warns you ahead of time that this is a large app, I thought that was helpful.
It took about 6 minutes to install. When I opened it, it gave an option for a FREE trial "ALL ACCESS PASS" which gives you full usage of the app. I decided to skip on the trial for now and just see what the free version offered first.
There are 4 sections: READING, WRITING, MATH and LIBRARY. All sections offer 2 activities each. Below are screenshots I took showing each section and one activity.
My two year old honestly is a little young yet for this app, I think that she'll grow into it within this year though. My 5 year old excels at all activities, so she'll be growing out of it soon. Your individual circumstances will absolutely differ from me, so please take that into consideration. I think this app is one worth trying, it is one of the better educational apps we've had. The graphics are really good, it's not too overwhelming, the child goes at their own pace and both my girls really seemed to enjoy this app!
Until now, Preschool Education Center has only been available on iTunes but now it is finally available for Android devices on Google Play! This fun and free app is currently being featured in the Family section of the Android store in the USA, Australia and Canada.
For iOS devices:
Kids Academy have also updated the iOS version of the app: Preschool & Kindergarten Early Learning Games adding new games, books and educational cartoons and shows as well as printable worksheets.
BONUS! Free Preschool & Kindergarten Worksheets for Kids
Kids Academy is also finding a way to expand beyond the screen and help master pen and pencil with free printable worksheets. You can get free preschool worksheets on a variety of subjects from alphabet to math and the library is updated often! Download, print out and get start practicing with good old fashioned pencil and paper in seconds!
