The Reflo Smart Cup ™ is a revolutionary new concept in training
cups. It's a smart alternative to sippy cups and a great transitional
tool for your children to learn to drink from an open cup.
No buttons or other complicated mechanisms to operate. It's as
easy as drinking from any ordinary cup without the worry of big spills
due to the patented Reflo ™ insert that controls the flow of beverage
anywhere along the cup’s rim and at virtually any angle.
BPA-free, phthalate-free and dishwasher safe, the Reflo Smart
Cup ™ is designed for safety and hygiene with no moving parts to trap
dirt and germs.
Recommended for all ages as a smart alternative to "sippy cups" which have been associated with dental and speech problems.
The Reflo Smart Cup ™ is the safe, smart way to learn to drink from a regular cup.
-from Reflo Ltd
I received a Reflo Smart Cup in translucent green for reviewing purposes.
The Reflo Smart Cup is not spill-proof, it is just like any other drinking cup, but there is a special insert that makes it splash-proof. The insert fits tightly into the cup, with no concern of it popping out. This insert is designed to give you a constant flow from any angle/rotation of the glass. With the insert, the cup will hold up to 6 ounces of fluid.
The cup is made of BPA, phthalate free heavy-duty plastic. It is dishwasher safe and comes in red violet, blue, green and clear colors. It is super easy to clean, there's only two parts with no valves and straws for germs to get stuck in. When you have a beverage that contains ice, the insert conveniently keeps the ice from floating up and hitting you in the teeth. The Reflo Smart Cup is perfect for special needs and/or the elderly also. The only thing you can not do with the Reflo Smart Cup is use it to drink beverages that contain pulp or with hot beverages.
When I found out about the Reflo Smart Cup, I was very excited because I have been looking for the best cups out there for my little ones! My 4 year old has spilled her drinks all over herself as well as on the floor several times during this transition from sippy to regular cup that we are going through. Learning to control the flow of her drink by carefully tipping the cup can be challenging at times. The Reflo Smart Cup is great because it provides a steady, gentle flow which prevents spills with our little learners! Plus it helps her place her lips in the correct position, preventing oral concerns.
We also have been trying to get our one year old to drink from a cup and we haven't had any luck. I have been trying everything, but she absolutely doesn't care. She will not drink anything all day long unless it is in a bottle. I was anxious to see her reaction to the cup and she has shown interest in the Reflo Smart Cup! I'm very happy to have this option available for her to grow into!
What do I like most about this cup? It has less to clean, AND has been effective at preventing spills!
Is there anything I would change? I don't have any suggestions that I think could improve the Reflo Smart Cup, I think it does a wonderful job and I am already recommending it to everyone!
I give Reflo Smart Cup a 10/10!
