I was given the opportunity to try a new brand of clothing, specifically for breastfeeding mothers, by 1 Hip Mom. I have never had a shirt made for nursing, I have always used the one shirt up/one shirt down method when nursing my babes, so this was an interesting experience for me. The color choices of the shirts I found exciting for my mainly black wardrobe, and chose a gorgeous purple shade called PLUM. I am a plus size woman and usually feel most comfortable in a size 2X, and was disappointed that size wasn't available. Instead I chose a XL and when I put it on I felt that it was very true to size. There is 5% spandex in the shirt so it hugged my curves and I think under my cardigan, it worked out for the most part. The structure of the shirt made it very easy to discreetly lift the shirt and place baby to breast. I found that having a nursing shirt, like the ones made by 1 Hip Mom, as part of your breastfeeding wardrobe is valuable because it makes things a little easier for mom. You can't argue with things being easier! Visit http://1hipmom.com/ to find out more about the nursing clothing that's available!
Here's a pic of me wearing my T-shirt by 1HipMom with my brand new babe!
And for the holiday season, 1HipMom is hosting a giveaway here on Latched On Mom!
